On the 6th April at 3.32 am a major earthquake struck L’Aquila and the surrounding towns. The number of dead, injured and homeless is unbelievable: 294 dead, hundreds seriously injured and more than 40.000 people forced to abandon their houses because destroyed or severely damaged by the earthquake. I got to the earthquake area about 18 hours after the shock, what i found was a war scenery. I was so shocked i was under the impression that everything was unreal, dream (or nightmare)like. These are the images I will never forget.
